LOOK OUT FOR THESE THINGS BEFORE BUYING THAT FOOD





 Look for these before buying that food

...avoid the dim, dirty, dingy, and stray dogs

When purchasing foods at restaurants you should be observant while buying food. Unsafe food environments could lead to contaminated food products. Listed below are some helpful tips to keep in mind during your next restaurant visit.

General
- Restaurants must have a clean and presentable appearance.
- Walls must be free of dirt, mold and stains.
- Surroundings must be sanitary and free of flies, rodents and stray dogs, since vectors from these animals can enter the premises.
- Waste disposal bins must always be of the pedal type or sensor controlled.

Inside Restaurants:
- Tables and counter tops must have impermeable surfaces to facilitate easy cleaning and must be free of dirt.
- A facility for hand-washing must be provided for all dining patrons. This must be separate from the restroom area.

Restrooms:
- Must have separate entrances for male and female patrons.
- Must not directly ventilate into the restaurant.
- Must be fitted with a functional extractor fan venting to the outside of the building.
- Must be adequately lit so that the condition can be clearly seen.
- Must be fitted with holders for toilet paper.
